special announcement

Join us and the 509 crew at SnowBigDeal for an evening avalanche presentation. It's free and more details can be found here.

This is a great time to schedule an avalanche awareness class for your group or club. Please call me at 801-231-2170 or email [email protected] for more details.

While we're waiting for winter you can check out our Events section.

current conditions

A couple inches of snow fell yesterday, but in general it's awfully thin on the Skyline. With a storm on tap for this weekend conditions will improve though riding and turning is extremely limited to upper elevation rock free meadows.

It's pretty thin out there, but a few rock free meadows could offer a mellow ride on the sled.

weather

The weekend storm should edge far enough south to give the Skyline a much needed shot of snow and I suspect storm totals in the 6"-8" range won't be out of the question. High pressure quickly builds Sunday with clear skies and warming temperatures. A storm is slated for midweek, but it doesn't look like anything too huge at the moment.
