Avalanche Advisory
Advisory: Ogden Area Mountains Issued by Evelyn Lees for Friday - November 15, 2013 - 7:30am
special announcement

Snow from the 2 weekend storms will generally fall on bare ground in the Ogden area mountains, where there is only a little lingering snow on the shadiest, highest, most northerly facing slopes. So there is still not enough snow to recreate. However, the avalanche danger is increasing in the Salt Lake and Logan area mountains, where there is a bit of a base on the upper elevation, northerly facing slopes. This base is quite weak, and the new snow will not bond well to the old snow surface. Check their Advisory pages if you are heading north or south.
