Current Conditions: Christmas day held nice weather in the mountains with plenty of sun and high temperatures in the mid teens and moderate speed ridgetop wind from the northwest. Riding conditions are mediocre at best. The snowpack continues to weaken and more and more places are becoming "punchy" where your skis or snowmobile sink right through to the ground.
Mountain Weather: High pressure is taking hold and we'll continue to see gradually warmer temperatures through the week. Today highs will get into the low 20s and the wind will be from the northwest and moderate in speed along the more exposed terrain. Weather models hint at a pattern change starting around Jan 4th but it's so far away that I don't hold much hope yet.
