The snowpack is generally stable, and human-triggered avalanches are not likely today. The majority of the terrain on the Manti Skyline has a LOW avalanche danger.
Weather and SnowGeneral Conditions: Nothing significant to report about snow conditions. Average snow depths are about 2 feet in most high elevation locations. Favored spots are closer to 3 feet deep. Logan Addis was prowling around the Electric Lake area on Monday and submitted this BACKCOUNTRY OBSERVATION. Wind from the west really dropped off on Monday. It's increased in speed again slightly but is still generally light. Overnight temperatures were in the teens in the canyon bottoms and 20s along the higher terrain.
You'd be hard-pressed to get an avalanche to release today. The snowpack contains weak snow, but it is currently stable in most locations. There really isn't much more to talk about concerning current avalanche conditions.
