General Conditions: The snow surface is pretty worn out from sun and wind this week. You'll find a variety of crusts out there. However, if you sniff around, you can still find soft settled snow that makes for decent riding. Despite the ongoing faceting (weakening) of our snowpack, it remains fairly supportable, making for decent travel on machines and skis. Temperatures cooled slightly from earlier in the week with highs in the mid to upper 20s on Friday and dropping into the teens overnight. It got a little windy overnight from the northwest.
Mountain Weather: High pressure continues to dominate our weather. It'll be another sunny day up in the mountains with high temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. Breezy northerly wind will slow as the day goes on. Sunday is sunny again with warmer temperatures and light wind. There is no storm in sight. Weather models continue to hint at some sort of minor disturbance around the 22nd but it's not looking like we'll see any significant snow.
