The UWC National Forest Utah Avalanche Center intends to fill up to two (2) Meteorological
Technician - Avalanche Specialist GS-1341-08, Permanent Seasonal positions. The vacancy is open on USAJOBS from June 29 through July 6, 2026.
The positions are located on the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Salt Lake City, UT, and in Kamas, UT.
The incumbents serve as Meteorological Technicians providing avalanche forecasts to other employees and the
general public, utilizing multiple sources of information. These positions are permanent seasonal, 13 pay periods per year.
