Comments

We experienced cracking and collapsing all the way up the ridge and knew sooner or later we would find a pocket. This hard slab avalanche was intentionally triggered remotely on a ridge and failed 1-2 feet deep into old November snow. Taking a ride in an avalanche like this one would be pretty rough.

Trevor is pointing to the crown area and bed surface. Steep, rocky, and thin.
