      Comments
Went out on a tour in White Pine today. We saw numerous storm slab avalanches and dry loose activity both natural and skier triggered, including the two pictured on Lake Peak. The photo is taken from our location on the ridge east of the spire, it was hard to make out how far they ran as the light was flat and we were a good distance away. I would estimate the left slide broke about 30'-50' wide and the right slide towards the saddle about 75'-100' wide. I believe these were natural storm slab releases from 12-24 hrs ago, either at the new/old snow interface or on a density change within the new snow that has been reactive in other locations. Further inspection would be necessary to confirm.
