Comments
There are three little chutes on the West side of Peak 9924. We skied the skier's leftmost one and went back to ski the middle one. On the 4th or 5th turn I triggered a small avalanche that went the full width and length of the chute. Thankfully the crown was right at my feet and not above. Crown varied but generally 4"-6" deep. Debris pile and bed surface were both still relatively soft. Visibility became very poor so I couldn't get a great picture of the crown. This picture is actually of a smaller sub-crown lower down the chute. The debris was more photogenic.
