Comments
We actually saw 3 natural, ( i'm assuming) soft slab avalanches today which appeared to be cornices triggered wind slabs. The one I gave deminsions on was in S Monitor Bowl, appeared to be 1 to 2 feet deep and about 40 to 50ft wide. Also of note were cornice triggered slides in W Monitor Bowl and also on Scott's Bluff. They all seemed to be triggered as the wind increased this morning and looked like they happened around 10am. There was a lot of snow being transported by the wind on the ridgeline and the winds continued to increase as the day progressed.
