We were skiing Mineral and at 11:30 AM observed the path of recent avalanche. There had been a lot of snow fall in the past few hours and the avalanche looked fresh and contained dirt in the debris. The path was coming down from the 40 plus degree terrain. I stopped and dug a pit at 9200' on a NE slope 35 degrees slope about 5' deep and assessed the snow pack. I'm not an avalanche forecaster but the snow pack seemed stable other than some sloughing potential from the new snow. As we traveled through out the day we didn't notice instability or wind drift or even new snow problems below 9500 which is what the forecast seemed to indicate. Anyway, hopefully this helps. Also my buddy lost a contour brand skin probably down by the skin track in the bottom. If anyone finds it please post it on the Utah Backcountry Ski Touring Facebook group page.
