Comments
Came across this while enjoying the meadow below. Appears to have pulled out naturally, likely during the heavy snow on Friday/Saturday night. It was filling in with the SW wind but some very nasty, tree snapping blocks were visible, along with the crown of approx. 6'.

Comments
Had ample opportunity to dig(out) today and the snowpack is as advertised: a multi-layer, season or life ending problem waiting to happen. About 20-24" of dry low density fun sitting on a high-density slab of roughly 18-20" which provided a squeaky-snap when popped with the shovel. Below that, sugar and another slab together totaling another 25+" . You could try to outsmart this, or you could demonstrate an instinct for self-preservation and stay far away from any steep terrain.
