Comments
We experienced significant cracking and wumphing in the Cutler Ridge zone today. Especially in lower elevations where the new snow was more dense than higher up on the ridgeline. Found a natural avalanche at the bottom of "The Backyard" run lookers left of the uptrack in the luge. Seemed to be broken on the density change between the snow that fell yesterday afternoon and the heavier snow that came overnight. On our way back down the luge we had shooting cracks propagate about a hundred feet long. If visibility was better I'm sure we would have found many more avalanches and red flags.

South side of the creek once on the summer hiking trail. Observed late afternoon. Quite a bit of cracking and whumping also observed along the uptrack but did not see any other slides in the lower Cutler environs.
