Comments
Stutz and Stutz
While skiing down the ridge on my way to ski USA bowl, I remotely triggered the collapse of the South Monitor cornice. With the poor visibility and wind, I can't say for sure if the rest of the slope had already slid at that point or not, but it appeared to trigger a large slide, likely a couple hundred feet wide, with the toe running just into the flats. There was no evidence of any skiers on the slope or having been caught.
