Comments
I was the second skier to drop into the Upper Mary Chutes and triggered a graupel pocket described above. Slow moving and easy to ski off. We did not observe any signs of instability up until triggering this avalanche. While exiting around Lake Mary, however; we triggered numerous collapses. It seemed the scales tipped to Considerable around 1:30-2pm. By that time, 9" @ 1.55" SWE had fallen near the base of Brighton.
