Comments
3 Wide natural avalanches were reported to Nordic Valley Ski patrol at the end of the day Febuary 2nd. These avalances occured in an area that recieves low skier volume and does not have a history of much activity so a team was sent out to investigate today, Febuary 3rd. The lower avalanche was 20cm deep, 50-70m wide and ran 30m down into lower angle terrain, failing on our new January PWL. The area had widespread signs of cracking and collapsing from Feb 2nd but no new signs of instability today. One the way out through Pine Creek drainage the team triggered multiple ski wide wet slides in steep terrain.
