Comments
There were numerous avalanches in Spring Creek from the Dec 28th cycle. Starting from the top of the drainage directly across from the kite launch parking lot, the most recent avalanche involved a large cornice. I don't think this one broke out as a slab into older weak snow below the cornice. This cornice probably fell on the 29th or 30th.
Comments
Working down the drainage, the next slide that has been partially covered back up definitely broke into older weak faceted snow. Estimated release date: Dec 28th or 29th.
Comments
A little further down, there were more slab avalanches that broke into the weak facets. Estimated release date: Dec 28th or 29th.
Comments
Further down Spring Creek above Huntington Reservoir, there was more activity. This small pocket also broke into the older faceted snow. This was a more recent slide. Estimated release date: Dec 29th or 30th.
