Comments
As we were descending from the top of the ridge in East facing lower Days fork, we saw a 3ft crown of wind-drifted snow that had naturally broken on old faceted layer below, likely within the last 48hrs. This first slide propagated about 100 ft wide and 100ft vertical. As we descended about 100ft lower, we came upon another convexity with another similar aged avalanche with a 3ft crown of wind drifted snow, 80ft wide and 200ft vertical propagation through the trees, again failed on facets. We did not experience any collapsing, cracking, or active slides while we were skiing but did avoid being on any slope > 30 degrees
