Comments
  • Viewed this from the road at 1300 today on way down from Snowbird.
  • All dimensions are estimates. Crown is classic wind slab where it is deeper in some places but averaged to be 3-4'. There were some missing pieces of cornice on the sky line, but uncertain if they triggered this.
  • The SW winds have been Extreme since 5am and this could have gone mid day. I didn't see it yesterday on my way down at the same time.
  • I have included a photo zoomed in digitally, and one full resolution so you can zoom in on your own.
  • The avalanche stopped before the first bench below the main bowl. The crown wraps from North to North East and maybe even onto due east.
