Comments
Observed two natural avalanches from the Bear Lake overlook. One on the N side of the highway was about 2-3' deep, 10-20' wide, and only ran a short distance. We visited another one just above Sunrise Campground that was either a natural or remotely triggered as there were ski tracks next to it.
We found about a foot or so of dense new snow that made for sloggy travel. It was warmer than expected until about 3 pm with greenhousing. Very rideable but felt more like mid-March.
Instabilities in new snow appear to be healing quickly as well as 2/14 PWL Will likely drop that problem this week.
