FORECASTER COMMENTS: A small pocket released naturally most likely on Dec 24 or 25 during a period of moderate to strong wind from the northwest. This particular location is very prone to windloading and there is always a cornice here every winter. There is a broad open "fetch" just to the west where wind picks up snow and deposits it below this ridgeline. The avalanche ran on a stout wind/sun crust.
