Comments
Checked out the Natural activity from over the weekend on the front range. I was surprised that slides were not limited to the Northerly aspects that had faceted snow from before the storm. The pictures below are:
1- West face of Cougar ridge. The slide started around 9000 feet on the Straight West facing slope on Cougar Ridge.
2- North fork of Cherry Creek. Multiple slides on South facing slopes starting around 8800 feet in elevation
3- Upper Smithfield Canyon. Multiple slides on the West Face of the 7 sisters ridge.
I also noticed a significant amount of snow transport happening on the Wellsville range this afternoon. Winds from the west were blowing large plumes of snow over the ridges.
