Comments
This happened mid afternoon.. didn't see it in the morning, surfed pow all day and found it around 3 pm. Natural trigger most likely although there was some snowmobile traffic in the area that could have possibly triggered it remotely from a distance.
there were 2 separate slabs about 50 meters apart. One about 100 ft wide and the other 40ft wide both running 80-100 feet and making a debris pile 4 ft deep or so. Hard to say cause the new snow from the last 2 days was about chest deep.
Comments
Tons of collapsing on all aspects and elevations above 7500 ft. Not surprised to see these slides and there are likely more that were obscured by clouds and heavy snowfall.
