Comments
I observed this large natural avalanche come off the east face of timpanogos just north of the summit through a spotting scope from 25 miles away in the Kamas valley. Strong winds were loading the face causing several small sloughs to release from the face which caught my attention when I saw this larger slide with visible crowns release and the powder cloud filled the valley. Hard to tell how deep it was, but large enough to be seen from far away. I Also noticed other smaller avalanches in the ant knolls area on east faces that appear to be natural.
