Comments
Evidence of natural avalanches and large storm slabs breaking in Butler. Had slabs breaking off up to several feet up slope of the skin track just by running my pole through new snow next to the track. Was able to remotely trigger both small and large fractures on the way up. Several sections of the uphill that were set by two skiers about an hour before I went up were completely covered by several feet of sluff/compacted snow. On the ride down, a section of the skin track through the drainage was completely covered in several feet of dense, compact snow that broke off lookers right side of the drainage.
