Comments
We dropped into Tolcat after having a discussion that we may trigger something near the cliffs on the left side the group felt we could avoid the left, open/potentially wind loaded slope and stick to the more tree'ed middle, which we did. Near the end of the run one skier poked into the left side for a turn and remotely triggered a small but notable slide.
No surprise but worth mentioning with the new snow coming in. I would expect small slabs like this in more consequential terrain to be of more concern for tomorrow.
Winds were beginning notably to pick up as the new storm was coming in as we were leaving at about 2pm.
