While traversing to the overlook I pulled out a 2-3' deep 60' wide wind loaded pocket on a N/NW aspect. Ran several hundred feet. Strong 40-50 mph S-SW winds were actively wind loading northern aspects. Haven't seen this much snow and wind loading in this area in recent memory, good reminder to be extra cautious in these mid/lower elevation areas that have been more benign in seasons past.
