Comments
1 skier and 1 splitboarder. We started down the south side of the ridge but moved to the north side in search of less crusty snow.
Skier went down the north side first and didn't trigger anything. Splitboarder went next and triggered the slide from the high point on the ridge. Splitboarder stayed to skiers left of the slide. Skier below was partially in the slide path, saw it coming, and was able to get fully out of the way to skiers right.
After the avalanche the skier continued to skiers right in search of a path down and remotely triggered a second similar size avalanche below him (not pictured).
Wind slab slide on north aspect with sugary weak layer 1-2 ft down.
