Comments
We observed a lot of sensitive cornices and wind slabs today on northern and northwestern ridlines around 8500 feet. The first cornice fall/small avalanche was triggered from a distance while walking on the ridge. Others were triggered from a distance while jumping on the ridge (see video). A ways farther up the ridge we got a few small soft wind slabs to break off at our feet, and these ran 100-200 feet into the trees.
