Comments
Remotely triggered a relatively small soft slab avalanche on a wind loaded N-facing slope while starting our transition on the ridge. Broke within the new snow between 4"- 1' below the surface. Slope was being actively wind loaded from the SW in a gusty fashion. I was surprised that we triggered this remotely, and it ran a bit further and faster than I would have expected. Overall snow seemed touchy above 9000', less so further down out of the wind.
