Experienced rapid warming today. It got surprisingly hot and fast. Made an unwise decision to ski a steep solar aspect in Rocky Basin. Of course, they call it that for a reason. There are lots of rocks that contribute to the heating of the snow. Anyhow, the top few inches slid on a very hard layer of snow. I wish I could be more analytical than that, but I really just don't know what else to say. No many minutes afterward, a wet-slide of similar size and length naturaled right next to it.
