Just after noon, a single skier triggered a ~D1.5/2 wet slab avalanche on a SE aspect at around 10,600' in upper Hogum Fork. The skier was carried for about 100 horizontal feet before being able to ski off to the side of the slide. The crown was 12-18" deep and about 40' wide, though lower the slide entrained more snow and became about 100' wide. It ran roughly 300-400 vertical feet. The bed surface was a very slick supportable sun crust. We didn't stick around to investigate, but I wonder if this ran on the thin layer of RR facets that has been a problem for us. Or maybe it was just water lubricating the interface between the slab and crust/bed surface...

Also of note, we observed two naturally-triggered wet loose, D1 avalanches that started between 10,600 and 10,900' on steep east-facing terrain and ran for as much as 1000 vertical feet.
