Comments
One of two avalanches seen on todays tour (the other was approximately a half mile further up the canyon). This one came straight down the canyon above the road and ran out until it hit the bottom (approximately 400-500 feet). I wasn't able to see the starting point due to the new snow. Multiple 2' trees and blocks of ice 6 feet or wider in the debris field. It covered the entire road and filled up the river. 20-25 feet tall at the highest point in the debris field.
