Sloppy Sue's (Betty's Bump) SE face looked to have a natural avalanche overnight, breaking in the new snow. Maybe 10-15cm new snow on top of crown and debris. This filled the highly trafficed gully between Bob's and Sue's. Lots of features were filled in, so debris may be up to a few feet, maybe more. I haven't been in the gully for a few weeks, so I am unsure.
The avalanche ran an impressive 800-900'. For those familiar with the area, it ran well out of the gully and neared the aspen forest after the meadow. Another party also spotted a crown above the same gully in the NE trees of Bob's. We also saw evidence of flagging coming out of those trees. Was that triggered by this larger avalanche on Sue's?
Other naturals on UFO Bowls that I'll submit in an observation, but this was the most notable avalanche considering the amount of people that pass through this gully.
I've never seen this face avalanche this wide. Lots of people ski this slope. SS-N-R4-D2-S
