My group triggered multiple dry loose avalanches mid morning today during a couple laps in the Emmas/Flagstaff areas. The new snow was running fast and further than expected on the new/old interface. We were surprised to observe these sloughs grow into considerable size as they slid down gullies, triggering more snow to slide above them. I anticipate that this problem became less manageable as the snow heated and consolidated in the afternoon.
