Comments
Triggered this small avalanche in somewhat sheltered small terrain -- SS-AMu-D1-R1-O -- what was interesting is how well it contoured with the trrees and connected along the ridge for its width. It goes to show how challenging it will be to know where these pockets of old snow exist
Isolated signs of obvious isntability (cracking and collapsing) throughout the day of travels. Fresh snow, more on the way, and plenty of wind to move it, avalanche conditions will certainly continue to heighten over the next few days, and this small slide is just a piece of the bigger avalanche pie we will be dealing with.
