Comments
We traversed from Coyote Chute across Julie's Backside and over to the Darkside. We observed about 6 avalanches across this whole zone. Some were very wide, and all ran full track down to the flats below (About 300 vertical feet). These slides averaged 3 to 4 feet deep. They all ran on the October facets near the ground. Some starting zones were in open pockets, while others were on very steep roll overs in areas of heavy trees and vegetation. Slope angles were mid 30's to mid 40's.
