Snow Profile Comments
Hs 110 cm, mostly 4f/1f consolidated snow that was stable at 8800ft and east facing at 28 degrees, but likely not catching as much wind drift as woolly hole proper. No pwl noted at this aspect/elevation. ECT got only cracking in new snow, but was able to get a rough shear at 57cm and 20cm when prying out with a shovel.
Comments
R3 D2 slide in woolly hole that looked like it went natural sometime last night or this morning. Looked like 2-3 smaller slides triggered by stuffing off of north timp/grunge area and then a large connected slide that took out most of woolly hole. Wind coming over the ridge slowly reloaded the area during the day. Lots of spindrift coming over the cliffs all day too.
The steep shots bellow woolly hole likely released sometime in the last week, the debris and bed surface had at least last night's new snow on top.
A bit surprised to not see any of the steeper northerly aspects releasing but they are likely suspect.
Lower angle trees are filling in and the riding was great today!
