Comments
Avalanche filled gully in lower run-out with 20' of debris (sz 2.5). Avalanche propagated surprisingly far. It appears the avalanche may have been a result of wind loading from the strong ENE winds onto of buried near surface facets, though on other parts of the crown it was hard to tell with only a density change from a glazed knife harness preexisting bed surface layer (above crown) to a 4F layer of DF above.
Of note, the North face of the north peak also slid wall to wall on the same layer and similar timing. Certainly something fishy with the snowpack in this area.
