Comments
Wind slab avalanche triggered by party member from atop a micro terrain feature (a minor ridge of rocks) coming off the Coalpit Headwall. The slide was shallow, and ran at moderate speed for approximately 200 feet within the walls of the gully. The slide was contained within the walls of the gully, did not carry over terrain of consequence, and was approximately 30’ across at its widest points.
