Comments
Forecaster comments: This avalanche was triggered from a distance as the skier was descending low angled terrain adjacent to the slide. The majority of the slope is under 30 degrees in steepness EXCEPT this small pocket right in the middle. While this avalanche if relatively small, this is a very meaningful avalanche for me. This pocket releases occasionally but it usually only happens during periods with a very unstable snowpack. This confirms what I've been seeing in the snowpack all over the range. -Kobernik
