Comments
My ski partner noticed this slide on our skin back up at about 4 pm. So we went to check it out. We didn't notice this slide on our 2 prior trips up the ridge. One set of tracks entered and exited the slide so it appeared to be unintentionally triggered. The track went straight into the 35 degree rollover which is not what I would expect with a ski cut. The track was blown in which made it difficult to determine if it was a snowboarder or a skier. The bed surface was covered by 2-3 inches of new snow. The approximately 14 inch crown was partially covered by new and windblown snow. A quick beacon search did not pick up a transmitting beacon.
The basal facets were wet and easily formed into a snowball.
I heard of a second slide on Cutler and a third on Rodeo.
