I was checking out a new zone today with 2 friends, as we headed northeast from Antennas, towards No Name bowl, we blazed trail and already experienced cracking and loud whumpfing. We had already knew the report and standing clear of any steep aspect that was "considerable". Knowing the snowpack this year we skied low angle to the bottom of No No Name bowl and headed towards the bottom of Scott's Bowl through the glades and trees. Once we got to the base of the bowl and outta avy terrain we dug a pit (north east facing at 9300') and were terrified by the the results. Packed it up to head back the other way when a very loud whump occurred just after a few steps and after 3 seconds, my partner yelled "avalanche". We were not in the slide path but watched it run off in to the slide path next to us and we concluded our tour back to the car.
