Triggered this pocket remotely from 100 yards away walking across the flats. It was a small slope, but steep and wind loaded. Although small, I think this pocket illustrates our current avalanche problem well. There is no doubt we have a weak layer - you can get collapsing and cracking literally everywhere you go. The question is the slab - in many areas there just isn't a cohesive slab - but this illustrates that just small changes in aspect and elevation and you may. Also a nice illustration of how a terrain trap can exacerbate the consequences of a small slide.
