Observed the crown of this avalanche today. Visibility was decreasing when I spotted it so it was difficult to make out all of the characteristics and I never got close enough to make a more in depth inspection. My guess was that it was a day or two old. It appeared to have failed at the storm snow/old snow interface, D1. Apologies for the poor picture quality, I did my best to estimate the extent of the crown as observed (yellow line, attached).
