Comments
Very sensitive slab on NE facing slopes this afternoon. All slides were triggered with ski cut or simply just stepping onto the slope The slide seemed to be new storm slab more than wind slab. Failed on the faceted layer below today's new snow and Sundays' angry inch. You can see both of those layers in the photo.
Also had a similar but, slightly a larger slide just above this one but, didn't get photos. Probably 5" and 75 feet. More energy and propagation. same weak layer and snow pack.
Likely to be more sensitive and dangerous if we get more new snow. South facing surprisingly skied a bit more stable with a less cohesive slab/ sensitive weak layer.
