Comments
On our way up to Sundial around 3:30PM, two hikers informed us of an avalanche that came down behind them and buried the hiking trail/skin track. No release point was apparent, but seemed to have released at the base of the uncovered rock/cliffs. Also possible that slide started above the rock choke in the hanging bowl. Both had direct and very strong sun throughout the afternoon. The wet slide traveled about 300-400' vertical. Debris was 3-5' deep over the trail.
Hikers may not have been fully buried, but could have sustained injuries.
