Comments
Poor bonding observed on N facing aspects between crust and today's new storm snow. Slope was 38 degrees. I cut the slope and sluff moved fairly slowly down but entrained all of the snow storm in its path until the slope angle lessened, maybe 300' vertical. The sluff moved slowly enough to out-ski it but the heavier snow gain enough size to carry an unaware rider.
