Comments
Party of one, broke up-track to Pass (summit) at about 1330 there was a large natural about 200 ft. wide, running full slope- about 800-900 ft. There was significant debris zone about 5 to 6 ft. depth and across maybe 300 ft. Snow conditions were huge wind-blown and cornices extending across the entire ridge-line. The reported 80 MPH winds last night pretty much cooked the pow across the board, even into the trees, Crust City USA, not fun, not what I had hoped. A few lines into the trees. But definitely, wouldn’t recommend it for tomorrow. The entire mountain is slabbing up with the effects of the wind and now sun.
Definitely was getting more support in the snow pack than originally suspected, but it could also become one bigey slab -- have seen this happen before.
