Comments
We noticed a large hard slab avalanche in East Miller Bowl, which had failed 3 to 4 feet deep and about 175 feet wide on a persistent week layer of faceted snow from Halloween. The avalanche was likely naturally triggered during the storm yesterday when the slope was overrun by a smaller avalanche involving drifted new snow, but there were also some ski tracks in the area and it could have been remotely triggered.
